CHANCE® Helical Pulldown® Micropiles®
This patented innovative application of the helical pile integrates portland-cement-based grout to increase the section properties of the shaft. The Helical Pulldown Micropile (HPM) brings the advantages of the pre-engineered helical pile to higher load applications, providing compression loads up to 400,000 lbs. per pile. By pulling down a special flowable grout as the foundation is screwed into the soil, these micropiles create a deep foundation with both a friction-bearing central shaft and end-bearing helical plates in competent substrata.
Advantages of Helical Micropiles
- High load capacities for compression, tension and lateral loads
- Small displacement at load
- Easy to use in limited access areas, areas with high water tables, and weak surface soils
- No excavation, vibrations, or spoils (New construction application)
- Quick installation when compared to traditional deep foundation (New construction application)
- Similar installation methods for all ground conditions
- Simultaneous drill and grout Installation
- Increased corrosion protection
