Structures that have experienced differential settlement can be supported and re-leveled using Chance Helical Piers. The system can be installed from the interior or exterior of the structure with tight access, low headroom installation equipment producing limited vibration or spoils. Independent of the structure, the piers are extended to depths which can resist the required loads The piers can be attached to the existing foundation with an engineered bracket system. This will transfer loads from the structure onto the pier and into load bearing soil or rock at depth. The bracket can be used to support as well as lift or re-level the structure. Single to multi-story (10+) structures have been supported with these deep foundation systems. The pier installation is unaffected by expansive soils, deleterious soils, and ground water.
